1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 13 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations

2. Description of Service

The Book of Rufus is an entertainment and wellness application that includes:

• Interactive petting experience with Rufus the cat
• Spiritual guidance and daily rituals
• Community features and leaderboards
• Virtual currency ("Divine Treats") and shop
• Premium subscription features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You may create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

4. Virtual Currency and Purchases

4.1 Divine Treats

• "Divine Treats" are virtual currency for use within the App
• Divine Treats have no real-world monetary value
• Divine Treats cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between accounts
• Unused Divine Treats are non-refundable

4.2 In-App Purchases

• All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Purchases are subject to the payment processor's terms
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's refund policies

4.3 Subscriptions

• Premium subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device settings
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App
• Use bots, scripts, or automated methods
• Exploit bugs or glitches
• Reverse engineer or modify the App
• Sell or transfer your account

6. Content

6.1 Our Content

All content in the App (text, graphics, audio, software) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App.

6.3 Content Moderation

We may remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

7. Intellectual Property

"The Book of Rufus," "Rufus," "Divine Treats," and associated logos and designs are trademarks of Dane Cooper. You may not use our trademarks without written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 No Medical Advice

The App provides entertainment and general wellness content only. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or spiritual advice. Consult qualified professionals for health concerns.

9.2 As-Is Service

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or errors
• Third-party actions or content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dane Cooper and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Arbitration

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that you may bring claims in small claims court.

12.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. General Provisions

• Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them freely
• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us
