How to Delete Your Account

In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Open The Book of Rufus app, go to Settings, and tap "Delete Account". Follow the prompts to confirm deletion.

Email Request
Send an email to support@thebookofrufus.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your account.
Data That Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account Information: Email address, display name, username, and profile
- Activity Data: All petting sessions, rituals, and interaction history
- Social Data: Friends list, community posts, and shared content
- Progress Data: Badges, challenges, streaks, and XP
- Inventory: Purchased items and point balance
Data Retention
- Processing Time: Deletion requests are processed within 30 days
- Purchase Records: Transaction records may be retained for legal/tax purposes for up to 7 years, but are anonymized
- Backup Systems: Data in backup systems is purged within 90 days
Important Notice
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose all progress, purchased items, and premium membership benefits. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
